This time I would like to introduce a ramen restaurant in Tanjong Pagar. Enishi is located on the 2nd floor of International Plaza in front of Tanjong Pagar station.
The main restaurant in Japan is located in Kobe and has won the Michelin Bib Gourmand. Please take a look at the review to the end!

General Review
Ramen is a very popular food in Singapore, but there are many Tonkotsu ramen restaurants.
If you are in the mood for a light, non-pork-based soy sauce, salt, or dashi-based ramen, this restaurant is definitely the place to go.
When I lived in Japan, I ate at over 200 ramen shops, mostly famous ones, and Enishi offers a high class level of ramen. This is very much appreciated in Singapore!
I don’t know of any other light ramen restaurant in Singapore that has a better taste than Enishi’s.
This is a great restaurant that should be repeated and is sure to be very satisfying!
Atmosphere
First of all, here is the appearance of the restaurant. It has a nice “Japanese” look to it.
The exterior and interior are very beautiful.
There was no waiting line when I took this picture, but by the time I finished eating and left, there was a line. This is evidence of the popularity of the restaurant.
A sign like this is placed outside the restaurant.
And, here is what the restaurant looks like.
The restaurant has an L-shaped counter with about 8 to 10 seats. The atmosphere is very cheerful and favorable.
Food
Orders are placed by circling a laminated menu sheet like this one and paying before eating at the cash register at the entrance. It is a very appreciated ordering system, as you can easily select your preference.
Since this is my second visit, I would like to introduce the ramen I chose for the first visit as well.
First Visit
Here is what I ordered on my first visit: Regular Dashi Noodle.
I was attracted to the soy sauce ramen, but when I saw the menu, I was very curious about “DASHI” and ended up choosing this one. I guessed that they must have a lot of confidence in their ramen since it was listed above soy sauce on the menu.
And this is a great answer! It’s insanely good!
The kelp broth base, I guess, is light and brings out the full flavor of the ingredients. The flat noodles are perfectly chewy. The chashu pork is also grilled to a savory flavor and is of very high quality.
The soup was immediately consumed without leaving a drop of soup.
Second Visit
This is what I ordered on my second visit: DAN-DAN Noodle.
First of all, the brightness of the appearance is exciting. The shibazuke pickles in it are very distinctive. Soup and a half-boiled egg are also served together. Put the half-boiled egg into the bowl and stir thoroughly.
This time I chose MIDIUM for spiciness, but I hardly felt any spiciness.
The sauce of the Dan-Dan noodle, pork, kaiware, onions, and shibazuke pickles intertwine perfectly, and when you slurp it up with the noodles, you will have a very happy moment.
I finished it in no time. The waitress asked me if I wanted rice, so I decided to have some. By the way, it is free.
It is a very cute size. It is about the size of half a rice ball. I think even women can order this without hesitation.
The rice is then thrown into the leftover Dan-Dan noodle soup to complete the final dish.
Rice mixed with Dan-Dan Noodle sauce, how can this be bad? It is very satisfying.
Price
- DASHI Noodle Regular $19.8
- Dan-Dan Noodle $19.8
The price is not cheap, but the ramen is firmly worth the price.
I am glad that this comes with free rice.
Summary
Both Dashi Noodle and Dan-Dan Noodle were very good, but I would personally recommend Dashi Noodle more.
Dan-Dan Noodle is relatively easy to find in Singapore, where there are many Chinese restaurants. On the other hand, Dashi Noodle’s light ramen is hard to find and Enishi’s quality was very high!
Tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen is delicious, but there are times when you just want a light ramen. In such cases, we highly recommend Enishi’s ramen.
This is a very satisfying recommendation that should be repeated.
