General Review

You can enjoy authentic Korean cold noodles.

They seem to put particular emphasis on their homemade noodles, which are very thin and delicate but firm and you can feel that each bowl of noodles is carefully prepared.

As the name “Noodle Star” suggests, you should definitely try the noodle dishes here, especially the cold noodles.

Sipping chilled noodles in hot Singapore is the best 😊

I went on a weekend before noon and was able to be seated without any wait. I was lucky with the timing, as I often read in reviews that you have to wait in a long line to be seated.

Please visit here for cold noodles!

Atmosphere

Here is the exterior of the restaurant.

The menu outside the restaurant gives you an idea of the restaurant’s thrust. Cold noodles are still the standard. Jarred noodles and dumplings also seem to be recommended.

It was not obvious from the outside, but the inside of the restaurant is surprisingly spacious. It is clean and has a good feel to it. There was no waiting time, but most of the tables were occupied, indicating the popularity of the restaurant.

On the walls inside the restaurant are large paintings depicting the history of the restaurant and its commitment to homemade noodles. The extraordinary dedication to their noodles can be felt.

Menu

I came here for the cold noodles, so I ordered only cold noodles.

I had a hard time deciding whether to get the normal or spicy cold noodles, but I chose the spicy because the price was the same.

First, the appetizers were brought to us. Korean style. 🇰🇷

It is not a drink in the cup, but a soup, and it is excellent! It is beef bone broth and had a very nice broth.

I also had two more cups of kimchi and three more cups of bean sprouts. LOL, high points at the time of the appetizers.

Then the main dish of cold noodles arrived.

The cold noodles are beautifully served in bowls.

After eating the boiled egg, the beef and vegetables on top were moved out of the way, and then the spicy substance, gochujang (red pepper paste) appeared. The spicy substance, gochujang (red pepper paste)! Quite a lot of it!

Break up the noodles and mix them well with the gochujang (red pepper paste). The noodles are very firm, so it was quite difficult to break them up, and it took a surprisingly long time.

And here’s how it turned out.

The noodles are very thin but very firm. Therefore, the way of eating noodles is more like biting into a lump of noodle rather than slurping it like Japanese udon or soba noodles.

The gochujang is not as spicy as it looks, in my opinion. As you mix it with the noodles, it settles down to just the right amount of gochujang and spiciness. However, the spiciness can be felt, so if you do not like spicy food, it would be better to order the normal cold noodle.

You can thoroughly enjoy the finest cold noodles of authentic Korea.

Price

  • Cold noodle with Spicy Sauce $16.8

I think the price is relatively reasonable. It is about the same price as a bowl of ramen at a ramen restaurant.

With ramen, spicy toppings cost extra, but I am happy to see that normal and spicy cold noodles here are the same price.

Summary

You can enjoy the finest cold noodles from authentic Korea.

I used to eat cold noodle as a “end” to a barbeque, but I was satisfied even if I ate it as a main menu item for lunch.

Many of the customers around me ordered dumplings with their cold noodles, so I will definitely try the dumplings next time I visit.

I highly recommend cold noodle stores, and I hope you all will visit them!
